Inspiration
to
create my business: |
I am enthusiastic about many things, one is providing a good
service. High on the list is solving accommodation issues. In
my view when my work in this area is complete my services should
no longer be required, for a while anyway. Working for one organisation
only can be restrictive, and so I have thus taken it upon myself
to spread my wings.

People
smoking next to children - especially in a confined space.

If
asked to create a
law, it would be: |
Things that taste nice or relieve mild pain/suffering sell easily
without advertisement. Most of these products are detrimental
to long-term health. The law I would create (especially to protect
children, as parents are often powerless to say 'No') would
be to ban the advertising of junk food or pharmaceutical drugs
by any medium - from TV to packaging. Right now, this minute!

Greatest
influence
on my life: |
My Mum and my Dad. Having been brought up on a small farm miles
from anywhere in the Scottish highlands, had I a choice? I learned
a lot working in my Dad's sideline business as a milkman, which
started with just two customers but before long became the main
source of family income delivering to 900 doorsteps each day.
As a child/youth/adult I helped him to establish a 'personal'
service and this remains the greatest influence in my business
life. Even the odd breakdown of the milk van or the driving
snow didn't stop us providing this service.
